Your prompts stay on your machine
Sapa processes every prompt entirely on your Mac using a local MLX model. No prompt text, no output, and no content data is ever sent to any external server. There is no Sapa backend, no cloud storage, and no account system. This is guaranteed by the app's architecture — there is no code path that transmits your content anywhere.
In-app analytics (optional)
The macOS app includes optional anonymous usage analytics powered by PostHog. This is limited strictly to interaction events such as which features are used and which platform the app runs on. No prompts, no content, and no personal data are ever included in these events.
You are shown an opt-out choice during the onboarding flow on first launch. If you decline, no analytics events are sent — ever. You can also change this preference at any time in Settings. We collect this data solely to understand how people use the app and to prioritise improvements.
Website analytics
The sapaprompts.com website uses PostHog to collect anonymised behavioural data — page views, button clicks, scroll depth, and session recordings with all inputs masked. This helps us understand how visitors experience the site. No personally identifiable information is collected, and data is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
Cookies & local storage
The website uses cookies and localStorage solely for analytics session continuity (PostHog). No advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies are set. The macOS app does not use cookies.
